The Peach State Post for August 24th-28th

The middle Georgia Precepts ministries group is hosting a Bible Study Marathon on Saturday August 29th.  This event will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church in Milledgeville and it will be an all day event from 9 am until 4 pm with check-in at 8:45 am. Pennies for Posho will be hosting the Ugandan Thunder Children’s Choir on September 3rd at 7 PM at Griffin First Assembly of God. This fundraising event will help support the building of four medical clinics and a hospital that will provide free healthcare to Ugandan orphans supported by Pennies for Posho. Tickets are $20 each plus a bottle of over-the-counter medication that will be used to stock the hospital once completed.

This event will take place on Saturday August 22nd from 6 pm until 8 pm. Bring your motorcycles if you have them, although motorcycles are not necessary to join in the fun! This event will be FREE to the kids,  and vendors will have tables, tents, and exhibits with school supplies for the kids.  The Back to School Bash will take place Saturday August 1st from 10 am – Noon at Pin Strikes Entertainment Center in Stockbridge.

There will be a Super Hero sprint 5k/10k in honor of Silas Huffman (son of Casting Crowns bass player Chris Huffman) and C.O.T.A. — this event will be at Sharon Baptist church in Mcdonough on August 1st at 8 am.  Silas had a heart transplant last year and is on a long road to recovery. There will be food vendors and folks can come to donate even if they do not run or walk in the main event. For more information visitwww.CastingCrowns.com
